The Scottsdale Stadium is a great palce for 2009 spring training in the Greater Phoenix Metro Area. The Scottsdale Stadium is again privledged to host the San Francisco Giants for a 16th year for 2009 spring training. The original stadium was built in 1956, and served as the former Cactus League home of the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Oakland A’s, and now the San Francisco Giants.
The new Scottsdale Stadium opened it’s doors for Spring Training on March 12, 1992.
The facilities were renovated in 2005 to include a new team store, expanded clubhouse, baseball training and treatment room, batting tunnel, centerfield entrance, Charro Pavilion, and 1 1/2 practice fields to the east of the stadium.
Located in the heart of historic Old Town Scottsdale and surrounded by art galleries, restaurants and boutique shops, the Stadium is the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants. Designed by the creators of Camden Yards in Baltimore, the Stadium is adorned with turn-of-the-century lamps, framed antique baseball gloves, and sidewalk bricks in the shape of home plate.

Scottsdale offers FREE parking as well as a shuttle service to ballgames. However, parking lots adjacent to the stadium do fill quickly so we encourage you to arrive early or plan ahead. Public parking structures are located at 2nd Street & Drinkwater, 2nd Street & Brown, and 3rd & Craftsman Court. Additional surface parking is also available throughout Downtown Scottsdale. Please note that some parking areas have a 3 hour time limit. To catch the shuttle, park at Loloma Station, Fashion Square Mall (next to Nordstroms) or along 5th Avenue.
Handicap accessible parking is located in the City Court parking lot located South of Indian School on 75th Street and in the Civic Center Parking Structure. Patrons may also drop off guests in the bus lane along the East side of Drinkwater Boulevard but may not leave vehicles unattended. The FREE Giants Shuttle is also handicap accessible.
Service begins 90 minutes prior to each home game and operates every 10 minutes up until game time. Return service is available during the game and up to 30 minutes following the game.

Food and Beverage Policy for Spring Training Games:
- No alcohol may be brought into or removed from the Stadium.
- No coolers, large bags, bottles, food or containers are allowed in the Stadium.
- One sealed, plastic bottle of water per person is permitted.
- All bags, bundles or other containers are subject to inspection and/or search.
- No deadly weapons are permitted in the Stadium.
- This is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only.
- Skating, animals and lawn chairs are prohibited on Stadium property.
