The New York Mets are a member of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball's National League and located in Queens, New York City, New York. The Mets, also known as the "Amazin' Mets, started in 1962 as an expansion team franchise. The played on the Polo Grounds unitl 1964 when they moved into Shea Stadium. In 2008 they moved to Citi Field. The team was originally named after the historic 1880s baseball club the "New York Metropolitans". Everyone is already talking about the Mets and the excitement that they are building in anticiaption of a great 2009 spring training season. Come and see them up close as only spring training baseball allows.
