Joker Marchant Stadium was originally constructed in 1966 on the site of a World War II flying school, but has been upgraded in more recent years. Joker Marchant Stadium sits on 17 acres in Lakeland, Florida and is Spring Training Home to the Detroit Tigers. Immediately adjacent to the 12-acre tract on whre Joker Marchant Stadium resides is Tigertown. Tigertown has been the Detroit Tigers minor league training site since 1953.
