The Colorado Rockies have announced their intention to move their spring training facilities out of Tucson after the 2010 spring season. For the 2010 spring season, they will play their spring training games in Tucson, Arizona at Hi Corbett Field. It is as of yet undetermined where they will move to, but chances are it will be in a co-sharing arrangement with the Arizona Diaomndbacks who are also leaving Tucson at the same time. The Rockies are a major league baseball team in the West Division of the National League and are based in Denver Colorado. The Colorado Rockies have been playing spring training baseball in Tucson since their inception in 1993. The Rockies played in the 2007 World Series and unfortunately lost in 4 straight games after winning 20 of the 21 previous games.
Fans of the 2009 Colorado Rockies spring training games will be able to get up close to great players such as Matt Holliday who had 136 runs batted in, 36 hoe runs and an amazing .341 batting average in the 2007 baseball season.
Make sure to add Colorado Rockies 2009 spring training games to your schedule. The Rockies were a strong contender for the championship in 2007 and 2008, and should be again in 2009.
