The Cincinnati Reds are a major league baseball team who are members of the Central Division of the National League. The Cincinnati Red Stockings of 1869 were baseball's first openly all-professional team, though today's team is not a legacy of the original team. It went bankrupt. The name was picked up by the subsequent professional baseball team which started in 1882 and played in the American Association. The Cincinnati Reds jiined the National League in 1890.

This will be the last year for the Cinncinati Red's at Ed Smith Stadium and in Florida. In 2010, the Cinnxcinati Reds will call Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona their spring training headquarters. There they will share brand new spring training facilities with the Cleveland Indians who are moving into the new facilities with the 2009 spring training season.
