Stadium : Ed Smith Stadium

Spring 2009 will be the last spring training season for the Cinncinati Reds in Sarasota and Ed Smith Stadium. The team only played at Ed Smith stadium for 11 years, starting in 1998. They played in Plant City, Florida prior to Sarasota. Starting in 2010, the Reds will call Goodyear, Arizona, and Goodyear Ballpark their new spring trainig headquarters. They'll be sharing Goodyear Ballpark with the Cleveland Indians. After opening in March 1989 as the spring-training home of the Chicago White Sox, the staium saw the White Sox relocate to Tucson Electric Park in Tucson Arizona for the ir spring training facilities. It is unknown what will happen to Ed Smith Stadium after the 2009 spring training season.
