Chicago Cubs Overview

The Chicago Cubs are a charter member of the National League and are affectionately called "The Cubbies" by their loyal Fans. The Cubs team was first formed in 1870 and have been playing consecutively every year except for three years right after the Great Chicago Fire. The Cubbies are the 2007 and 2008 N.L. Central Champions.

The Cubs begin their 2009 slate Wednesday, February 25th against the L.A. Dodgers at Hohokam Park, their home stadium in Mesa.

Attending the 2009 spring trianing will allow fans access to D. Lee who batted a .317 average, A. Soriano who hit 33 home runs in 2007, and A. Ramirez who hit 101 runs batted in. You can also see C. Zambrano who had 18 wins during the 2007 baseball seasons and R. Hill who threw 183 strikouts during 2007.
