Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox are the reigning World Series Champions. They are also the American League Champs and Amercian League, Eastern Division Champions. The BoSox are one of the eight original founding teams of the American League started in 1901 and are named for the Red Sox they wear as as central part of their uniform. The were also known as the Pilgrams when they first started, but quickly became known as the Red Stockings and eventually the Red Sox.

The Red Sox have the highest "on-the-road" attendance of any major league baseball professional team. They have won seven world series titles, the most recent world series titles being won in 2004 and 2007. The BoSox have also won a total of 12 American League Pennants
