The Arizona Diamondbacks, now referred to as the D'Backs, were started just 12 years ago. They are currently based in Chase Field, formerly Bank One Pallpark or B.O.B. during the regular season. The Arizona Diamondbacks play spring training baseball at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on the The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community near Scottsdale. Starting with the 20111 Spring Training season. Previously the D'Backs played spring training baseball in Tuscon. The team has a vast following from Arizona residents as well as loyal fans across the country. The team quickly become a fan favorite by winning the 2001 World Series in a climatic 7 games over the New York Yankees. They acheived this honor after only three seasons in existance, a huge feat for any team
The Arizona Diamondbacks play in the Western Division of the National League. They have won Western Division titles in 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2007. They usually start playing spring training baseball games at the end of February/ beginning of March and end the spring season at the end of March.
